​Childs Bertman Tseckares Architects of Boston initially asked CGD to implement an exterior sign plan for 7 Lebanon Street, a mixed use facility and parking garage in downtown Hanover. Concurrent with this work, the building’s owner, Dartmouth Real Estate, requested that interior identity and wayfinding signage be included in the program.

CGD believes that building-specific wayfinding must be a seamless extention of the architecture. The signs for 7 Lebanon Street and Dartmouth Real Estate respect their built context by echoing the traditional border detail used in the architect’s window design. For the interior signs, integration with elevator lobby and corridor finish schemes is enhanced by the use of mahogany and painted wood frames.
