This competition asked each team of entrants to address the following challenge: “Create a broad and compelling vision of a future infrastructure which will provide excellent support for electric vehicles and help improve the quality of life in an American community.”
As the team’s visual communications designer, Charles Gibson was responsible for development of the “Big E” icon and graphic infrastructure that would identify the presence of EV charging facilities from the level of interstate signage to parking facilities and the charging hardware itself.
