​Following a renovation of its corporate identity, stationery and collateral, Saucier + Flynn Landscape Architects retained CGD to address all of the firm’s ongoing print needs. For their project sheets, CGD created a grid format and typographic standards. A custom die-cut portfolio folder was also created as a comprehensive package for S+F’s marketing materials including cover letter, qualifications, and resume, in addition to a selection of project sheets.

Responding to the Client’s desire for an honest, unpretentious, but sophisticated look, the Designer conducted extensive research into paper/material options for the folder and its containment band. This investigation led to the selection of translucent, matt mylar for the folder and Craft paper for the band. A repeat pattern of the Client‘s logo, referencing the repeat graphics on construction materials, covers the entire band.

To adapt the portfolio for RFP’s, project-specific images may be inserted as a cover panel beneath the translucent mylar. Further flexibility is achieved by varying the graphics printed on the containment band.

For a comprehensive survey of trees on the Dartmouth campus, Saucier + Flynn asked CGD to design the cover, introductory pages and section dividers. A background texture of Latin tree names set in Adobe Trajan unifies the cover and dividers.
